Hong Kong (volume 1)

Time flies! I’ve been in Hong Kong almost a month now.

On the 2nd Saturday, the Office of Academic Links organised a city tour for all the exchange students. First stop was Victoria Peak. We took the bus up, though I want to go again via tram to see the view at night some day.

The second stop was Stanley Markets, which was not great, unless you went there for the beaches. Finally, we went to the Avenue of the Stars. The stars themselves weren’t exciting, but the walkway with its view of the skyline was fantastic!

On the 3rd Saturday, I signed up for a trip to Lantau Island. First stop was the Big Buddha.

It wasn’t that exciting, but Wisdom Path nearby was great (below), and there were hiking trails nearby that I want to return to when the weather cools down.

Finally we went to Tai O, which was quite boring, though seeing a fishing village for the first time was momentarily interesting.

Because I signed up for the Lantau Trip without coordinating with any of my friends, none of them went and I accidentally of forced myself into meeting new people. I’m glad I did, because I got to make new friends with some awesome people.

This Mid Autumn Festival long weekend, I’m in China visiting my grandparents.

That’s all folks!
